Michael Jackson Songs That I Love

This list isn't in order of importance or likability, being a historian, I did it chronologically, lol.
(as always, I didn't listen to the videos before I posted them, so let me know if you cant see them!)

Jackson Five: The Love You Save, 1970: This song has a great beat, wonderful danceability to it, I even like the lyrics somewhat, but I hate the inherent sexism (oh, so its ok for a man to be a slut, but not a woman??)

S is for save it
T is for take it slow
O is for oh, no!
P is for please, please, dont go!

Jackson Five, Got to Be There, 1971: This song great! I especially love the Chaka Khan cover, too.

Got to be there when love begins
And that's everywhere she goes

Jackson Five: Never Can Say Goodbye, 1971: You KNOW this song is the JOINT! MJ sang with FEELING!

I keep thinkin that our problems
Soon are all gonna work out
But there's that same unhappy feeling and there's that anguish, there's that doubt
*It's that same old dizzy hang up
*Can't live with you or without

Jackson Five, Dancing Machine, 1974: Great song to do the "Robot" to!

The Jackson's, Show You the Way To Go, 1977: I think this song is smooth as hell. But I just might like it because it let do the famous go-go song, "Let Me Show You the Way To Go-Go" lol. You know how we do in DC!

The Jackson's, Blame It On the Boogie, 1978: Hey, its better and more wholesome that blaming it on the al-al-al-co-al-co-hol!

This magic music moves me
That dirty rhythm grooves me
The devil's got in to me
With his dance
I'm full of funky fever
A fire burns inside me
Boogie's got me in a super trance

The Jackson's, My Lovely One, 1980. This one doesn't get a lot of mentions, but Ive always enjoyed it.

Now the first time that I saw you, walking down the street so pretty
Go on with your bad self!

The Jackson's, This Place Hotel, 1980: Had those spooky "woo-wooooos" in it, kind of a pre-Thriller feel to it.

The Jackson's, Can You Feel It, 1980: Now this was the jam! And the video was nice too!

Every breath you take
Is someone's death in another place
Every healthy smile
Is hunger and strife to another child
But the stars do shine
In promising salvation, is near this time
Can you feel it now
So sisters and brothers
Show we know how
Now tell me

The Jackson's, State of Shock with Mick Jagger, 1984: This was funky and I definitely appreciated the r&b/rock intermingling together. I even remember this video too, lol, man I'm old.

The Jackson's, Torture, 1984: This was a good song too, check out Mikes verse:

Michael Jackson
She was up a stair to nowhere
A room forever I'll remember
She stared as though I should have known her
Tell me what's your pain or pleasure
Every little thing you find here
Is simply for the thrill you're after
Loneliness or hearts of fire
I am here to serve all masters

Ok, I had to stop here, cause when I went to look for that Michael did solo, well the post just got too ridiculously huge! So please come back later to see what other MJ songs I loved!

Wow! No one has mentioned Lovely One until now. Thank you! That is my all time favorite - I have been blaring it in the car for the past two weeks. My second favorite is Can You Feel It? I am tickled that you mentioned both.
